Hospital Visit & Fees
Unlike other immigration clinics, AOMS does in-house blood collection which is included in our pricing. This will prevent you from having to make an additional appointment to keep your immigration process simple and easy.
Note: All chest X-rays are completed through Nova Scotia Health. A separate appointment is required.

Book your chest X-ray and your AOMS visit on the same day.
Book your x-ray online at https://booking.nshealth.ca (Wednesday or Thursday afternoon).
X-ray HAS to be booked at either:
(1) Dartmouth General Monday-Thursday 8 am -2 pm (325 Pleasant St, Dartmouth)
(2) Victoria General Hospital Monday-Friday 8 am-4 pm (1276 South Park Street, Halifax)
(3) IWK Health Center (Children 11-15 years of age) (5980 University Ave, Halifax)
After your X-ray has been booked call our office at (902) 469-2667 to book your Medical. We will make every effort to you schedule you in on the morning of your X-ray. This will help you so you don’t have to make multiple trips into the city. Note: this cannot be guaranteed.

Blood Work (Ages 15 and up):
Mandatory tests include HIV, Syphilis, and Creatinine.
Additional blood work may be required based on medical indications; however, in-house blood work is available and not mandatory.
Chest X-Ray (Ages 11 and up):
Mandatory for all clients aged 11 and above.
Pregnant women have options:
Complete the medical exam, excluding the X-ray. IRCC will pause the examination until the X-ray is done after childbirth.
Have a shield X-ray during the examination, consulting with your pregnancy-following doctor for guidance.
Postpone the immigration medical until after childbirth.
Chest X-Ray Locations and Appointments:
Victoria General Hospital (1276 South Park Street, Halifax):
By appointment only, during working hours (8-4).
Register at the business office in the Centennial Building.
Dartmouth General Hospital (325 Pleasant St, Dartmouth):
By appointment only.
Pay at the Dartmouth General Business office inside the hospital.
IWK Health Centre (5980 University Ave, Halifax):
By appointment only.
Payments at each location are separate from medical costs.
Important Notes:

Test results are submitted to IRCC via eMedical.
Abnormal results may necessitate additional testing, Additional charges may apply.
