Have some Questions?

On the day of your appointment, please bring the following items with you:

  • Original Passport
  • Any official documentation from IRCC (such as work permit, study permit, visitor permit, etc.)
  • Prescription Medications (if applicable)
  • Prescription glasses/contact lenses, if needed

Pregnant individuals have a few options:

  • Complete all aspects of the medical exam except the X-ray, which can be postponed until after the baby is born. IRCC will pause the medical assessment until the X-ray is performed.
  • Undergo the X-ray during the examination with a protected shield covering the abdomen for safety. Consulting with your prenatal care provider is advisable in this case.
  • Opt to conduct your Immigration Medical after giving birth.

If you are unwell or experiencing any symptoms of illness, please reschedule your appointment after being symptom-free for 48 hours.

Your Medical Exam will be submitted to the IRCC electronically immediately following your appointment with our Physician. This usually occurs within a week of completing your X-ray

We are the only IRCC Medical location that collects blood during your initial visit. No need for another appointments at NS Health to have your bloodwork drawn. All X-ray in Nova Scotia are completed through a separate appointment with NS Health.
